Star Scholars Network is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and transparency, following the principles of the Committee on Publishing Ethics (COPE) and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). Here is an outline of our key policies:
All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous three-step review process: a preliminary check, a plagiarism check, and an independent expert peer review. For detailed, journal-specific peer review processes, please visit this page and follow the links for each journal.
Our editorial team is composed of experts in various fields who ensure the scientific quality and integrity of the manuscripts. For details on the editorial team for each journal, please visit this page and follow the links provided.
The corresponding author is responsible for the payment of publishing fees after editorial acceptance. An invoice will be issued with instructions for payment. For journal-specific publishing fees, please visit this page and follow link for each journal.
Authors retain the copyright of the electronic version of their published articles. All publications are open access, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0). This licensing information is displayed on the first page of each article.
All submitted articles undergo plagiarism check first. We work with CrossRef to use iThenticate to detect plagiarism. iThenticate gives a 'similarity index', which is the word-by-word copying of materials from previously published literature. We use similarity index to make a decision. Even if the original source was cited, articles with more than 10% similarity index will be returned to the authors without peer review for corrective action. For articles with similarity index between 1-10%, we follow the guidelines of COPE on text recycling to make a decision.
Authors are expected to adhere to the highest standards of research integrity and ethics. Detailed responsibilities can be found on this page.
Editors and reviewers must maintain confidentiality, provide unbiased scientific evaluations, and disclose any conflicts of interest. Further details are available on this page.
Authors must ensure that their use of images, data, and illustrations complies with copyright laws. Manuscripts must include the following statement: "To the best of my/our knowledge, the materials included in this chapter do not violate copyright laws. All original sources have been appropriately acknowledged and/or referenced. Where relevant, appropriate permissions have been obtained from the original copyright holder(s)."
If an error in a published manuscript is reported, we will publish an Erratum or Corrigendum on the journal website. The original manuscript will remain unaltered.
Proof of scientific misconduct will result in the retraction of the manuscript. Other issues will be handled on a case-by-case basis, following COPE retraction guidelines. Retractions and their reasons will be clearly stated.
Policies for ethics approval and informed consent must be followed and are detailed on this page.
